This from John D.
My good friend of over 30 years Wayne Mixemong passed on last night. He was a great supporter of AA for he spoke at different locations in Canada & the States. Five years ago he asked me to present his 35 year Medallion. That night I told the 300 people that were at the Midland Friendship Centre that if they are even thinking of having a drink think of this man & his family. Their brother who was also my friend had been beaten to death & none of the family went back to drinking. Watching the people accept their medallions with such pride gave me so much admiration for them & this is coming from a man that has never used alcohol or drugs. Wayne will truly be missed
The family of the late E. Darby Moore , Collingwood wish to inform the A.A. community of the recent death of Darby.
Fawcett Funeral Home, Collingwood fawcettfuneralhomes.com
A.A. was a key part of Darby’s life and although he infrequently discussed the matter, in casual discussion, he did make it known the importance of the program in his life ( I believe 50 years +/- ) , as well as his participation both locally and in his travels. We will miss him, but are thankful for the wholesome full life that he lived.
